Jynx (Real name Raine) is a lone fifteen year old traveller from Little Lamplight, she has been traversing the wastes for a few months in 2279. She is introduced in chapter 3 of Iconoclash, when Deputy Simms shoots her, mistaking her for a raider. Denis takes her back into the city, so that Doc Church can patch her up.
Background
Jynx was brought up in Lamplight, where, like most of its residents, she received a nickname. Her name 'Jynx' comes from her terribly poor luck on supply runs, bringing her along pretty much promises that something bad will happen. Unlike most Lamplighters, Jynx left when she was fifteen, her reasons for doing so are currently unknown
